When the world leaves you confused,there is always one place you can go...

Whether you think your littlesis is a total tot or your dad drives you nuts with that easy listening station he likes,well..they're your family.Everybody has has one,and you can be sure yours is unlike anyone alse's because no two fams are alike.MAybe you have so many sibs that your family makes the crew on Seventh Heaven look like smsll stuff.Or perhaps you have no brothers or sisters at all-you're an only kid.Some of you live with two parents,some with one and others are raised by step-parents.foster parents,grandparents or other relatives.While all families are different,they all have one thing in common.A family is supposed to be a place where you feel like you always belong and are always accepted.What stinks,though,is that some teens don't excatly feel this feel because of hard time in families have faced.There are so many things that can happen in a family to make you feel insecure.Many of you have experienced your parents' divorce,a parent leaving or parents who constantly fight.Maybe you don't have much of a relatioship with one or both of your parents,and that makes you feel like you are not good enough to be loved.Maybe you feel like your parents don't accept you for who you are because they criticize you or don't tell you they are proud of you.Well,guess what..No one has a perfect family and,sure that can get confusing and frustrating.You might feel like you don't have a place to belong of something going on in your family.Maybe you don't feel good enough to be loved and accepted.But there is hope.God wants you to bleong to His family,where you will always feel accepted and loved.He wants you to be a part!

You are wanted!
God,as your Heavenly Father,wants to have a relationship with you.Yes,that's right.You!He cares about you and every other person on Earth.HArd to believe?well,be a believer because it's true.Think about this..Have you ever been to a mall or a grocery store when a mom can't find her child?Even if she has other children with her,she will stop whatever she is doing to look for the missing child.And she is so relieved when she finds him or her.That is the same feeling God has when just one person wants to know him.Even through there are millions of people in the world,God is still looking out for you.Ok,maybe you don't get the missing child scenario since you're not a parent or anything .Here's another way to think about it.Have you ever lost money and then search for it ?Even if you had other money,you were probably still excited if you found what you lost!That's the same way God feels about you.You are valuable to Him!

There's Room for you
God has space in His family for every single person.When His son Jesus was on Earth,He told His friends,the disciples,just that.Jesus promised there would be room for all of them in Heaven,just like there is room for you-your own personal space.Now,that's sweet!

You won't be left!
Many of you know the pain that comes when one or both our parents leave.It might be hard to trust anyone else because you are afraid they will do the same thing-leave.But you can know,without a doubt,that God will never leave you because He is perfect and His love for you is perfect.When you become a part of God's family ,He will neverever let you go.

It's up to you!
Has some turmoil in your family left you feeling alone and insecure?Do you feel like you need a place to belong?Even if you and the folks get along great or even just so-so,God is ready to welcome you into His family too.He wants you to feel loved and accepted.He wants you to belong to something greater than you ever imagined.Are you ready?All you have to do is tell Him that you want Him to ba part of your life.Then it's all up to you,dude!

Who is a Friend?

Everyone would like friends who fit all of these descriptions..all of time.Because none of us are perfect,even our best friends will let us down on occasion.There is only one person who can be the greatest friend you would want during every second of the day and night.He is God's son Jesus.Friends are like rainbow who never fade or never run and hide in the shade.True friend will always stick by your side and will be there to help you guide!

Surviving The Tough Stuff-From Troubles at school to troubles at home,sometimes it takes a plan to survival to get through the things life throws your way!

Maybe you've been riding in a car when..
BAM!All of a sudden a car comes out of nowhere and rams rught into you,stopping you in the road and shocking very part of your mind and body.Lifa can be often be the same way.You can be going along,smoother than ever,when out of nowhere,a really hard situation hits you without warning.You get stopped in your tracks,and many times,you don't know what to do because you are so shocked.Death,divorce and abuse all bring shock,confusion and alot of pain.So do regret and guilt from bad decisions.These things can leave you feeling helpless and hopeless.You won't always understand the reasons bad things happen,and the pain really can stomp all over your psyche if u hang on to if for too long.People try many different ways to make the pain and hard times go away.Some people try drugs,other just rebel,and some even think about suicide.These things only make problems worse because they just bring on more hurt.

Getting Rid of the pain
There is one person who can always help you with the pain you face in life.His name is Jesus,God's son.If you go to Jesus with all your pain,He will help you get through it.He will listen to you,and He will help you know that you will be able to handle whatever it is.Even if you don't think you can.Jesus knows there are hard everyone's life,and He wants to be there for help.Jesus doesn't promise that you will always understand why things happen in life,but you can be sure He can help you get through whatever has you spazzed..as long as you rely on His strength.That doesn't mean the pain will just(poof!) disappear,but it does mean Jesus will help you know what to do when you find yourself stuck in tough stuff.

Finding Answers
The first step in letting Jesus help you is to accept the friendship He is offering to you.Once you have a relatioship with Jesus,He can tell you how to deal with any situation you are facing.You can get answers from Him by reading what he says in the Bible and by talking to Him.How do you talk to Jesus?The same way you would talk to a friend.Of course,you can't see Jesus, and you don't hear him through your ears.You hear him through your heart.That's why it's called "prayer".Jesus wants you to talk to Him about everything going on in your life.That way,he can help you with what you are going through.

No Problem Is Too Great
Maybe you feel like no one can help you deal with your situation because it is too big.But Jesus has the power to overcome anything,and He proved this when He overcome life's greatest obstacle,which is death.Not only did He bring people back to life,but He rose from the dead after three days.We know He rose again because more than 500 people saw Him.They had a chance to talk with Him,touch Him and get special instructions from Him before He went back to the presence of God in Heaven.If Jesus can do that,He can help you with whatever you are facing.

There All The Time
Not only can Jesus help you with anything,He can also help you anytime and every time you need Him.It's like you can Im Him whenever Day or night,weekday or weekend..He promises to hurry and help those who call on Him.

You spend all summer practicing for basketball.Nothing else matters to you,except that.You even decide that your friendships could be put on hold while you try to reach your dream of becoming a starter on your school's team.Your friends will wait,right?When try-outs come,not only do you make the team,but your are the No.1 player.Who would have thought that during the first game you would twist ur ankle,tear some ligaments and be out for the season?Not only did you lose your sports fame,but your friends have also dropped you because you snubbed them during the summer.
Success story?Think again!
Television and movies are constantly trying to tell us success is all about money,sports,Jobs,cars and clothes.But these things can be taken away from you at anytime,and then what are you really left with?The things in life that make you truly successful are the things that can never be taken away from you-your reputation,your relationships with others and the difference you make it other people lives.Why?Because the things last forever!Years from now,the clothes you wore yesterday won't matter.But the way you treated the people around you will.

Whenever God gives a vision to a christian,it is as if He puts him in"the shadow of His Hand"(Isaiah 49:2).The saint's duty is to be still and listen.There is a "darkness" that comes from too much light-that is the time to listen.The story of Abra, and Hagar in Genesis 16 is an excellent example of listening to so-called good advice during a time of darkness,rather than waiting for God to send the light.When God gives you a vision and darkness follows,wait.Gow will bring the vision HE has given you to reality in your life if you will wait on his timing.Never try to help God fulfill His word.Abram went through thirteen years of silence,but in those years all of his self-sufficiency was destroy.He grew past the point of relying on his own common sense.Those years of silence were a time of discipline,not aperiod of God's displeasure.There is never any need to pretend that your life is filled with joy and confidence;just wait upon God and be grounded in Him(Isaiah 50:10-11).Do I trust at all in the flesh?Or have I learned to go beyond all confidence in myself and other people of God?Do I trust in books and prayers or other joys in my life?Or have I placed my confidence in God Himself,not in His blessings?"I am Almighty God.."-El-shaddai,the All-powerful God(Genesis 17:1).The reason we are all being disciplined is that we will know God is real.As soon as God becomes real to us,people pale by comparison,becoming shadows of reality.Nothing that others saints do or say can ever upset the one who is built on God.

"Jesus said to her,'Give Me a drink' "(John4:7).How many of us are expecting Jesus Christ to quench our thirst when we should be satisfying Him!We should be pouring out our lives,investing our total beings,not drawing on Him to satisfy us."You shall be my witnesses to Me...."(Acts1:8).That means lives of pure,uncompromising,and unrestrained devotion to the Lord Jesus,which will be satisfying to Him wherever He may send us.Beware of anything that competes with your loyalty to Jesus Christ.The greatest competitor of true devotion to Jesus is the service we do for Him.The goal of the call of God is His satisfaction,not simply that we should do something for Him.We are not sent to do battle for God,but to be used be God in his battles.Are we more devoted to service than we are to Jesus Christ Himself?

hope you're all doing great. Just dropping a note to let you all know that I'm fine and still ALIVE! Weather's very hot here actually, although humidity is very low so its more comfortable than tropical heat. But its still hott hot hott nonetheless! The irony is that the people here are craving for rain, whilst its flooding in our part [southeast asia]. The world's going crazy man. Let's not make it our treasure. We focus on something that's GREATER than here. yikes, enough rambling for now.

Courage is fear prayed for.
Everyone feels afraid many times during life. However, when the Bible instructs us to "fear not," it doesn't mean not to feel afraid; rather, it means to decide to press on even in the face of fear.
Several times, the Israelites were instructed to "be strong and courageous." For example, in Deuteronomy 31:6, Moses commanded Israel: "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." Even in the face of fear, we too must "be strong and courageous." Indeed, we are encouraged in 1 Corinthians 16:13 to be men of courage; be strong. So, next time you feel afraid, overcome your feelings through prayer so that you can "be strong and courageous."

Our next cell grp meeting will be at The Pacific Coffee Company at VivoCity! We will meet there at 7pm ok? We can grab food nearby before going there or tapau food there. It's also fine if you want to grab dinner at home before you come.

Vivocity is really accessible. Just take 855 or MRT there. Those who live in the North,Pauline is organizing a meet up at Yishun Interchange at 5.45p.m. Jeremy will meet the rest who live around Thomson area too, to take 855 around 6pm. We think Huiling and Nicole can make their own way down from school by taking 855 there.

We will try to start by 7.15pm at the latest and try to end by 9.30pm k? So see u guys there!!! Do try and make it k? It's our last CG before Jem leaves. So do, RSVP by leaving a msg on the tagboard or leaving a comment on the post k?

My assurance is to built upon God's assurance to me.God says,"I will never leave you,"so that then I"may boldly say,"The LORD is my helper;I will not fear"(13:5-6).In other words,I will not be obsessed with apprehension.This does not mean that I will not be tempted to fear,but I will remember God's words of assurance.I will be full of courage,like a child who strives to reach the standard his father has set for him.The faith of many people begins to falter when apprehensions enter their thinking,and they forget the meaning of God's assurance-they forget to take a deep spiritual breath.The only way to remove the fear from our lives is to listen to God's assurance to us.

What are you fearing?Whatever it may be,you are not a coward about it-you are determined to face it,yet you still have a feeling of fear.When it seems that there is nothing and no one to help you,say to yourself,"But 'The Lord is my helper'this very moment ,even in my present circumstance."Are you learning to listen to God before you speak,or are you saying things and then trying to make God's Word fit what you have said?Take hold of the Father's assurance,and then say with strong courage,"I will not fear."it dose not matter what evil or wrong may be in our way,because"He himself has said,'I will never leave you...'"

Human frailty is another thing that gets between God's words of assurance and our own words and thoughts.When we realize how feeble we are in facing difficulties,the difficulties become like giants,we become like grasshoppers,and God seem to be nonexistent.But remember God's assurance to us-"I will never..forsake you."Have we learned to sing after hearing God's keynote?Are we continually filled with enough courage to say,"The LORD is my helper,"or are we yielding to fear?

Tough choice, huh? Which would you choose? Many times, trying to do the right thing is made really tough by the fact that the wrong thing could be so much fun, while the right choice seems like a real drag! Take Moses, for example. He faced a tough choice as a young man in Egypt: turn his back on God and his people and live his life in the lap of luxury (try saying thatten times fast!), OR hang out with a bunch of complainers in the desert, eating the same thing day after day. Pretty clear choice, wouldn’t you say? But Moses chose the longer-lasting rewards of obeying God instead of the immediate gratification of sin.
That’s the way it goes. Many wrong choices offer immediate "gain," while right choices often seem to involve short-term "pain." Sin is often packaged very appealingly and carries a promise of instant gratification; right choices often require postponing immediate satisfaction for better long-term results.
To be honest, if we make moral choices simply on the basis of what will bring immediate pain or gain, we will very often make the wrong choice. But if we’re willing to choose right even when it might be easy to choose wrong, we’ll be much better off in the long run. That’s the truth.

one night a man had a dream.He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,one belong to him,and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints.He also noticed that it happens at the lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it."LORD,you said that once I decided to follow you,you'd walk with me all the way.But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times of my life,there is only one set of footprints.I don't understand why when I needed you most you wouls leave me."

The LORD replied,"My precious child,I love you and I would never leave you.During the time of trial and suffering,when you see only one set of footprints,it was then that I carried you."

Who is a Friend?

Answer:Friend is a Everyone would like friends who fit all of these descriptions..all of a time.Because none of us are perfect,even our best friends will let us down on occasion.There is only one person who can be the greatest friend you would want during every second of the day and night.He is GOD'S son JESUS.

Are you searching for success,happiness,hope,a friend or a place to belong?Then take the next step and allo Jesus,God's son,to be part of your life.When you do that,Jesus can guide you in making the right choices and He will help you through tough times.He will always be there for you because He wants to be your best friend.When you ask Jesus into your world,He will allow you into His world forever.

How does it work?

Jesus came to live on Earth more than 2,000 years agao because He wanted us to have a relatioship with GOD.Our sins,the things we do or think we shouldn't,keep us from having a relationship with GOD because GOD cannot be around sin.Sin is wrong,and its consequences are living forever without GOD.Because God created us and loves us so much,He didn't want us to live away from Him forever.So He decided to send His Son Jesus to pay the penalty for our sin by dying on the cross for us.Jesus also arose from the dead,allowing us to have a realtionship with God and eternal life in heaven.Jesus took our punishment for us,kinda like a person willing to do prison time for a crime his friend committed.When we ask Jesus to be part of our lives and forgive our sins,then our sins are wiped clean.We begin a new life,with Jesus by our side and with God as our Heavenly Father.But if a person chooses not to receive this gift form Jesus,he or she will stay separated from God forever.The Bible say,"Everyone who has faith in the Son has eternal life."

1) Recognize that Jesus came to give you life.

First and foremost,you have to believe Jesus is the Son of God and that He is the only way to have eternal life in Heaven.Jesus said,"I am the gate.All who come in through me will be saved.Through me they will come and go and find pasture.A thief comes only to rob,kill and destroy.I came so that everyone would have life,and have it in its fullest."

2) Ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins through prayer.

Jesus said that ,when we admit our sins to Him,we would be forgiven.We do that by praying.Jesus taught some of his closest friends how to pray to God and how to ask God to forgive them for thier mistakes.So Jesus told them,"Pray in this way:Father,help us to honor your name.Come and set up your kingdom.Give us each day the food we need.Forgive our sins,as we forgive everyone who has done wrong to us.And keep us from being tempted."

3) Believe that Jesus will forgive you and give you hope.

Believing in Jesus gives you hope,and believing in God's words gives you the strength and understanding to know you are forgiven.God loves you so much that,thorugh Jesus,you can experience a brand new life with HIM.That is HOPE!"God loved the people of this world so much that he gave His only Son,so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life and never really die.God did not send His Son into the world to condemn its people.He sent him to save them!

4) Make a personal commitment to live by the plan Jesus has for your life.

Making a commitment to Christ and becoming a Christian means you should want to live your life the way God wants you to live.Studying God's word,the Bible,is how you learn how God wants you to live and,when you do this,your life will be better than you ever could have imagined!Then Jesus said to his disciples,"If any of you want to be my followers,you must forget about yourself.You must take up your cross and follow me."

5) Say a prayer of commitment to God.

God wants you to become a part of His family.He wants to become your friend and guide you for the rest of your life.If that is what you want,too,invite Jesus to be a part of your life.Simply ask Him to come into your life and make things right.You can pray the prayer below,or even use your own words to express how you really feel.The important thing is to be real!"Heavenly Father,thank you for sending your son Jesus to die for my sins.I know I have done things in my life that are wrong.Please forgive me for all the mistakes I've ever made.Help me to live the way you want me to live.Jesus,please come into my life and change me,and also help me to be your follower from now on.I surrender all of my life to you-the way it has been and what it will be like the future.I want Jesus to be my Savior,my Lord and my Friend,now and forever.Amen"

Sometimes GOD puts us through the experience and discipline of darkness to teach us to hear and obey Him.Song birds are taught to sing in the dark,and GOD puts us into "the shadow of His Hand"until we learn to hear him(Isaiah 49:2)."Whatever I tell you in the dark.."-pay attention when GOD putus us into darkness,and keep your mouth closed while you are there.Are you in the dark right now with in your circumstances,or in your life with GOD?If so,then remain quite.If you open your mouth in the dark,you will speak while in the wrong mood-darkness is the time to listen.Don't talk to other people about it;don't read books to find out the reason for the darkness;just listen and obey.If you talk to other people,you cannot hear what GOD is saying.When you are in the dark,listen,and GOD will give you a very precious message for someone else once you are back in the light.After everytime of darkness,we should experience a mixture of delight and humiliation.If there is only delight,I question whether we have really heard GOD at all.We should experience delight for having heard GOD speak,but mostly humiliation for having taken so long to hear Him!Then we will exclaim,"How slow I have been to listen and understand what GOD has been telling me!"And yet GOD has been saying it for days and even weeks.But once you hear Him,He gives you the gift of humiliation,which brings a softness of heart-a gift that will always cause you to listen to GOD now.

We are all travellers who ought to go a long journey before us
Through each one of us started this journey at a different time
Some are walking lightly,some are walking even one step very heavily
Nobody knows when this journey ends,but everyone knows there is an end
Because the way we are walking on is lonely and tough
We all are seeking for a partner to walk together
We think that if there's somebody to love me and be with me
This journey won't be a problem..that only with enough expenditure,this long journey won't be so tough..that provided many people acknowledge me,
I might even enjoy this journeyBut we are missing that it is impossible for anyone to walk together with us till the end
Nobody can lead us from the end of this journey into a new oneExcept Him onlyThere are several people who are carrying a ladder to cross a new road
Sometimes they feel pressured by the ladder,but knowing the value of itThey walk with gladness
Many are walking without knowing the value of walking with Him
Other have gone someone else
Forgetting the importance of walking with Him
Those who are walking with Him are to introduce the true companionship to others
Those who are far from the fellowship need to remember that He is waiting for them to walk together again
And those who have not found the true friend yet on this journey would meet Him now Now..Now..

One morning I woke early in the morning to watch the sunrise.
Ah,the beauty of God's creation is beyond description.
As I watched,I praise God for His beautiful work.
As I sat there,the Lord brought His presence on me.
He asked me,
"Do you love Me?"
I answered,
"Of coursed God!You are my Lord and my Saviour!"
Then He asked,
"If you were physically handicapped,would you still love me?"
I was perplexed.
I looked down upon my arms,legs,and the rest of my body and wondered how many things I wouldn't be able to do.The things that I took for granted.
And I answred,
It would be tough,Lord,but I would still love You."
The the Lord said,
"If you were blind,would you still love my creation?"
How could i love something without being able to see it?
Then I thoughtof all blind people in the world.
And how many of them still love God and His creation.
So I answered,
"It's hard to think of it,but I would still love You."
The Lord then ask me,
"If you were deaf,would you still listen to My Word?"
How could I listen to anything being deaf?
Then I understood.
Listening to God's word is not merely using our ears but our hearts.
I answered,
"It would be though,but I would still listen to Your Word."
The Lord then asked,
"If you were mute,would you still Praise My Name?"
How could I praise without a voice?
Then it occurred to me,
God wants us to sing from our very heart and soul.
It never matters what we sound like.
And praising with God is not always with song.
But even when we are persecuted.
We give God praise with words of thanks.
So I answered,
"Though I could not physically sing,I would still praise Your name."
And the Lord asked,
"Do you really love Me?"
With courage and a strongconviction,I answered boldly,
"Yes Lord!I love You because You are the one and true God!"
I thought I have answered well,but God asked ,
"Then why do you sin?"
I answered,
"Because I am only human,I am not perfect."
"Then why in times of peace,do you stray the furthest?
Why only in times of trouble do you pray the hardest?"
No answered.Only tears.
The Lord continued.
"Why only sing at fellowship and retreats?
Why seek Me only in times of worship?
Why ask things so selfishy?
Why ask things so unfaithfully?"
The tears continued to rolled down my cheeks.
"Why are you ashamed of Me?
Why are you not spreading the Good News?
Why in times of persecution,you cry to others when I offer my shoulders to cry on?
Why make excuses when I give you opportunities to serve in My Name?"
I tired to answered,but there was no answered to give.
"You are blessed with life.
I made you not to throw this gift away.
I have blessed you with my talents to serve Me,but you continue to turn away.
I have stretched My Word to you,but you do not gain it in knowledge.
I have spoken to you but your ears were closed.
I have shown my blessings to you,but your eyes were turned away.
I have sent you servants,but you sat idly by as they were pushed away.
I have heard your prayers,and I have answered tham all."
"Do you really love Me?"
I could not answere.How could I?
I was embarrassed beyond belief.I had no excuse.
What could I say this?When my heart have cried out and my tears had flowed,
I said,
"Please forgive me Lord,I am unworthy to be your child."
The Lord answered,
"That is My grace My child."
I asked,
"Then why do you continued to forgive me?
Why do you love me so?"
The Lord answered,
"Because you are My creation .You are my child.
I will never abandon you.
When you cry,I will have compassion and cry with you.
When you scream in joy,I will laugh with you.
When you fall,I will raise you up.
When you are tired,I will carry you.
I will be with you til the end of the days,and I will love you forever."
Never had I cried so hard before.
How could I have been so cold?
How could I have hurt God as I had done?
I asked God,
"How much do You love me?"
And the Lord stretched out His arms,
And they were nailed on the cross.
I bowed down at the feet of Christ,my Saviour.
And for the first time,
I really prayed.

Prayer for day one (Divine Love)

baptism in God's divine love
destruction of anger,hate,bitterness and unforgiveness
spreading of God's contagious love from these special services
love conquers hate

Ephesians 3:19- And to know the love of christ,which passeth knowledge,that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Prayer for day two (Compassion)

view suffering from God's perspective
feel His compassion for the lost,needy and afflicted
be proactive for God through intercession and by bringing the sick
hatred for Satan and his evil works

Matthew 9:36- But when he saw the multitudes,he was moved with compassion on them,because they fainted,and were scattered abroad,as sheep having no shepherd.

Prayer for day three (Humility)

no self-glory or pride
pure motives:be a blessing for God's glory
team work and good co-ordination
Jesus Christ be lifted up to draw all the people to Himself

1 Peter 5:6- Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God,that he may exalt you in due time:

God has ordained prayer to be the only means for us to draw the power of God for all our evangelistic efforts.Without prayer,there will be no anointing,there will be no lasting results.The common problems that many churches encounter,as they prepare for evangelistic meetings,is that they do not know where to begin praying.Often,if they do know,the prayer coverage is too restricted and repetitious.By God's grace,this little note may be the solution you have been looking for.Although great pains have been taken to make these prayer items as systematic and comprehensive as possible,nonetheless,this is but a guidebook and is therefore not exhaustive.As you get into the spirit and pray through this note systematically,the exercise will no doubt trigger off other needful prayer items not mentioned in this guide.Determine in your heart to get into the spirit if prayer and travail until a ring of victory echoes in your heart.May God grant you a prevailing prayer time which will bring about a breakthrough of souls and miracles in your ministry.Get ready for a tremendous adventure in the spirit world.=)

If what we call love doesn't take us beyond ourselves,it is not really love.If we have the idea that love is characterized as cautious,wise,sensible,shrewd,abd never taken to extremes,we have missed the true meaning.This may describe affection and it may bring us a warm feeloing,but it is not true and accurate description.Have you ever been driven to do something for GOD not because you felt that it was useful or your duty to do so,or that there was anything in it for you,but simply because you love Him?Have you ever realized that you can give things to GOD that are value to Him?Or are you just sitting around day-dreaming about the greatest of His redemption,while neglecting all the things you could be doing for Him?I'm not referring to work which could be regarded as divine and miraculous,but ordinary,simple human things-things which would be evidence to God that you are totally surrendered to Him.Have you ever created what Mary of Bethany created in the heart of the Lord Jesus?"She has done a good work for Me."There are times when it seems as if God watches to see if we will give Him even small gifts of surrendered,just to show how genuine our love for Him.To be surrendered to God is of more value than our personal holiness.Concern over our personal holiness causes us to focus our eyes on ourselves,and we become overly concerned about the way we walk and talk and look,out of fear of offending God."..but perfect love cats out fear..."Once we are surrendered to God(1John 4:18).We should quit asking ourselves,"Am I of any use?"and accept the truth that we really are not of much use to Him.The issue is never of being of use,but of being of value to God Himself.Once weare totally surrendered to God,He will work through us all the time.

Perseverance is more than endurance.It is endurance combined with absolute assurance and certainty that what we are looking for is going to happened.Perseverance means more than just hanging on,which may be only exposing our fear of letting go and falling.Perseverance is our supreme effort of refusing to believe that our hero is going to be conquered.Our greatest fear is not that we will be damned,but somehow Jesus Christ will be defeated.Also,our fear is that the very things our Lord stood for-love,justice,forgiveness,and kindness among men-will not win out in the end and will represent an unattainable goal for us.Then there is the call to spiritual perseverance.A call not to hang on and do nothing,but to work deliberately,knowing with certainty that GOD will never defeated.If our hopes seem to be experiencing disappointment right now,it simply means that they are being purified.Every hope or dream of the human mind will be fulfilled if it is noble and of GOD.But one of the greatest stresses in life is the stress of waiting for GOD.He bring fulfillment,"because you have kept My Command to Persevere..."(Revelation 3:10)Continue to persevere spiritually. "Be still,and know that I am GOD.." (psalm 46:10)

Lord,we long to answer Your prayer for unity so that the wrold will know You are the Son of God and that You have come from the Father.Yet I know the "we" must being with me.I want to make you Lord of my life and not merely call You Lord.Holy spirit,I ask you to convict and perfect me so that I can accomplish what the Father has called me to do.Grant me,and grant us,the grace to walk in humility,considering others better than ourselves.May we look after the interests of others as carefully as we look after our own.Above all,may my attitude be the same as yours-that a humble servant.Father,forgive me for my selfish motives and my envy of others.Lord Jesus,let my heart be broken like Your heart,and may I humble myself to serve others faithfully as You served us in Your life,death and resurrection;let there be no division between me and my brethren.I pray that my kingdom would go so that Your kingdom may come.May my will be broken so that Your will maybe done on earth as it is heaven.Lord,cause me to be single-minded and sure of Your calling upon my life.May unity of heart and mind prevail in my home in my community of friends and family,in my local church and in the church around the world as we focus on You,our risen Lord,Master,King and Saviour.Break down the barriers that separate us,and bind Your people together again in your love.Rise up those among us who have fallen.Cause Your compassion to stir our hearts and impregnate us with Your purposes.May our chief loyalty be to You and to everyone who shares our common boodline in the lamb who was slain.May we work together in unity to lift You up before all men,Lord Jesus,so that they would be drawn to You and receive eternal life.Oh God,I convenant with You.Let us become one.Command Your blessing upon us once again as we dwell.serve,dream and worship You together in blessed unity.Dear Father,I want one word to become my most passionate means of communicating my love for You and Your kingdom.When You seek my obedience,when You command my steps,when You gently nudge me to step beyond my bounds of comfort and ease,I will say:"Yes Lord.Not my will,but Yours."I pray all these things with thanksgiving in Jesus name.Amen.=)
